There are some steps to configure the cellphone to work as Internet modem. Ive written down those steps here so it is easy to get started.

1. Activate Internet on cellphone

This is done by procedure with sending "INTERNET ON" SMS like I showed there. You have to make sure that internet is activated (ie. blue bar has to be on top in the left top corner)

2. Connect the cellphone to the computer

First time you have to install a driver first. You can download the driver on this link: http://tanesha.net/bigmess/Z800_Signed_USB_drivers.zip

Procedure is like this:

After that, the cellphone should be connected. Next time you connect the cellphone you dont need to install drivers, just to connect the USB cable.

3. Configure modem with computer

You have to configure the cellphone modem to connect to internet.

First you go to all network connections

Then you click on "Create a new connection"

Now a connection wizard window comes up. Here you select first "Connect to internet"

Then on the second window you chose to setup connection manually

Then you select to connect by dial-up modem (your cellphone is working like modem to the computer)

Then it is asking for ISP name, you can put Airtel there.

Then it is asking for phone number to dial. That is the little tricky part, since it has to be correct. If the phone configuration has not been changed since I was there, then the number to dial is 99**4# (it has to write excactly like that)

Username and password you just leave blank, it should not be required. Be sure that the "Make this connection the default Internet connection" is checked.

Then finally you are done, and select finish to complete it :-)

4. Connecting to the Internet

In the step before you selected an "add shortcut to desktop". You can click on that shortcut, or select network connections from the start menu. It will open window where it is asking username/password, but you can just click on "connect" button. Then with little luck you should be connected to Internet :-)
