Currently FooFtpd is not in a 'production' nor 'beta' state, but I have still put the page here so everyone can inspect the code and give ideas/comments for what they like of this 'ftp-daemon of tomorrow'.
I have many many ideas for features for this new ftp-daemon, so some these features are only the ones which are already implemented (possibly partially implemented).
Also you can find my OwnNotesForFooFtpd to read what I think is the things to look at for making it work.
You can download the latest build from the FooFtpdSVN where you can also view documentation in its current state.
When there are some 'usable' branches available, they will be put for download here.
Again, you can find all the documentation in the repository. Just follow the link above :-).
If you want to help with the project, then you can send me an email on
. I am looking for good Java programmers :-). You need to be skilled in using DesignPatterns.
There is an excellent other Java FTP server by someone called Super Bon Bon: JAFS, I think this is what FooFtpd is working towards looking like. JMX interface for all the runtime configurables and inside some kind of standard container where we can make use of the normal Java frameworks.
