Hobbies

I am newly married, so lately I haven't had much time to spend on my hobbies but still I put them here so you can see what I am interested in.

Music: Actively I am practicing jazz and other stuff on my DigitalPiano and also trying to play atleast something on my guitar. Passively I am listening to acoustic music mostly nomatter which genre. Also I like jazz alot, where I am also listening to most kinds.
Sports: Playing hockey during summer, running 2-5km every day (OK, a little lazy with that lately :-). And finally, when I am coding for long time, then I take rest with doing a few pushups to clear my mind.
Cooking: I enjoy cooking. But ONLY when I get to eat the food too (not all ofcause). I am currently experimenting with mostly IndianRecipes but also other StrangeFoods. Recently experimenting with AtkinsDietRecipes.

Movies

I like movies alot. Many kinds of movies I have been watching from all kinds of genres. Especially futuristic science fiction is one of my favorite genres where I have seen almost all there is to see.

But about any movie that has a good story I like. Some exceptions to what I like can be for example 'romantic comedies', and especially with that Hugh Grant person.

If I have to make a Top3 alltime favorites they could be:

Dune - so nice futuristic sceneries and cool story.
Avalon - also a cool 'dark' futuristic set. Little like The Matrix without all the Hollywood cliches.
Festen - just a very nicely told story, however tragic. Nice to see someone dare to do movies like that.

I also watch series on TV, some of my favorites there are:

TheSimpsons - they dont need words, all likes The Simpsons.
Futurama - the 'next generation' of Simpsons, however it was taken off :-(
CowboyBebop - A cool japanese anime about some space-cowboys travelling around in the future.

Books: I read all i can get my hands on regarding coding Java, mathemathics, science-fiction and history. Currently I am reading: Godel, Escher, Back an Eternal Golden Braid (Douglas R. Hofstadter), Revelation Space (Alastair Reynolds) and Effective Java (Bloch).
Computers: I dont have any favorites here. I am currently using an IbmThinkpad X21 with DebianTesting branch installed, it does what I need. When I am sometimes lazy to boot my laptop, and use some other computer, I am using a cool tool called WeirdX by JCraft.
